North Georgia Physical Therapy Associates is a physical therapist owned private practice and has been serving the North Georgia area since 1994. Problem solving to meet each individual patient’s needs is a hallmark of NGPTA. Great effort is also undertaken to determine and instruct the patient in the most appropriate self-care program. Because of the nature of on-site ownership that private practice affords, decisions and actions are undertaken in a timely manner that more effectively benefit the patient.
NGPTA has outpatient clinics in Blue Ridge, Calhoun and Ellijay GA and Copperhill TN. We also provide home health visits through United Home Care and inpatient rehabilitation at North Georgia Medical Center/Gilmer Nursing Home and Copper Basin Medical Center. NGPTA is actively involved with high school athletics and community affairs.
Physical therapists examine, treat and instruct patients in order to prevent, correct, alleviate or limit physical disability, bodily malfunction and/or pain from injury or disease.

- manual mobilization/manipulation techniques
- therapeutic exercises through a variety of strategies
