Physical Therapists

darnell1Mike Darnell, PT received his BS in Zoology from the University of Georgia in 1975 and his BS in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in 1977.  His early work experience included Emory University Hospital before starting a private practice in Atlanta that was devoted primarily to the treatment of the spine and patients with TMJ pain / dysfunction.  He started North Georgia Physical Therapy Associates in 1988 and has served the North Georgia area since 1983.  His specialties include orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, spinal rehabilitation including high velocity low amplitude thrust manipulation and the assessment and treatment of peripheral neuropathic conditions. 

allan1Allan Lee, DPT received his BS in Exercise Science from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2000, his Master’s of Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University in 2002, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2006.  His specialties include orthopedic and sports injury rehabilitation, manual therapy and general clinical practice.

gina1Regina Lehnert, PT, Cert. MDT received her BS in Physical Therapy in 1984 from Ohio State University. She has worked in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings in both clinical and administrative roles. Her postgraduate clinical education has focused on the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions.  She obtained her certification as a Mechanical Diagnostic Therapist through the McKenzie Institute in 2003.

BrettBrett Minter, PT received his BS in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in 1996. He is a certified Neuro-Development Theory Practitioner and has a vestibular competency certification from Emory University. His specialties include orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation and balance retraining.

RoMike Rochelle, PT, Cert. MDT, RNC, CSCS,   received his BS in Zoology/Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University in 1974, and a BS in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in 1977. He is a certified manual therapist with the McKenzie Institute, a registered nutritional consultant, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. His specialties include nutrition, health and fitness; orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, pain control, electroacupuncture and conservative treatment of the spine.

Occupational Therapists

Picture1Pam Tutten, OT, CHT, has been a practicing Occupational Therapist since 1981 after graduating from Utica College of Syracuse University.  She relocated her practice from New York to Florida in 1989 and was Board Certified in Hand Therapy in 1995.  After practicing at various Broward County locations, she founded Tropical Palms Hand Therapy, Inc. in 2002 .  In February 2010, Pam and her husband John relocated to Ellijay, GA and joined North Georgia Physical Therapy Associates.  Pam specializes in care of all upper extremity patients and custom splinting.

Physical Therapist Assistants

anneAnne Long, PTA received her AS in Physical Therapy Assisting at St. Petersburg College.  She is experienced in a variety of settings, including acute care, skilled nursing facilities and home health.  Interest areas include geriatrics and neurological rehabilitation.

noorNoor Moody, PTA received her AS from Seminole Community College in 2001.  She received her Yoga certification from Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy in 1992.  Specialties include geriatrics, wellness programs emphasizing balance and strengthening, ball stabilization and Yoga therapy.

marcusMarcus Skiles, PTA is a native of Fort Oglethorpe, GA.  He received his AS in Physical Therapy from Chattanooga State and recently attained his BS in Business Management from Covenant College.  In his 15 years as a PTA, he has experience in acute care, geriatric rehabilitation and orthopedic rehabilitation.  His primary area of focus is in upper and lower extremity rehabilitation.

Massage Therapists

trevaTreva Burbine, LMT is a Licensed Massage Therapist and member of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.  She received her certification from Space Coast Massage and Allied Health Institute in 1999.  She has since continued her education in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Belavi Facial Massage, Myofascial Release and Hot Lava Stone Therapy.  She specializes in deep tissue massage and Swedish relaxation massage.
